Free Registration in the LG PRE Stud Book for the progeny of Young Recommended Breeding Stock

ANCCE, within the scope of its PRE Breeding Program, will continue to promote the use of Young Recommended Breeding Stock throughout 2024 to genetically test these horses through their progeny.

Please be informed that this measure is none other than the free registration in the LG PRE Stud Book of the offspring of Young Recommended Breeding Horses, listed in the 2022 and 2023 Breeding Stock Catalogs, and available to all Full-fledged Members of ANCCE (who are in good standing with membership fees). This measure is only applicable for Request for Service 103, presented on time and paid for throughout 2024.

Request for Service 127 (past due-date registrations) is not eligible for free registration. Initially, the Request for Service 103 (Register a Foal) must be paid in full. Once the proposed Young Recommended Breeding horse has been verified, that amount will be refunded or if the breeder so desires, left as credit for future use at any time for another Stud Book service. The only exception is another specific promotional period. In the case of Request for Service 504 (incompatibility), this is not subject to this current promotion.

The offspring of Young Recommended Breeding horses listed in the 2023 Breeding Stock Catalog will continue to enjoy this promotion through 2025. Therefore, we would like to encourage breeders to promote the use of Recommended Breeding horses throughout this new year 2024.

The link provided below offers a full list of Young Recommended Breeding Horses eligible for this most recent measure: (Free registration of progeny in 2024).

Summarized Clarification:
2022 and 2023 Young Recommended Breeding Stock Catalogs: Free registration of progeny throughout 2024.

Moreover, remember that the offspring of Young Recommended Breeding Stock listed in the 2023 and upcoming 2024 Catalogs will benefit from free registrations in the LG PRE Stud Book throughout 2025.

Therefore, we would like to encourage breeders to test Young Recommended Breeding Stock through their progeny.  This is the best way to verify that the genetic qualities exhibited by these horses are passed on to the next generation.

Developing a Breeding Program requires the participation of a significant number of horses in the tests, as these are essential for Performance Tests to verify that the genetic values obtained are suitably reliable. Thus, ANCCE encourages all breeders to participate with their horses in the various tests to collect data for the PRE Breeding Program.
