Success with the first ANCCE online meeting.

- Arancha Rodriguez, Technical Director of the PRE Stud Book, answered some thirty questions presented by members of ANCCE

- The international projection of the Stud Book, its new web-site and the procedure for the inscription of horses, were the hottest topics

Sevilla, September 16, 2011:  ANCCE, the National PRE Breeders Association of Spain, inaugurated the first of a series of “online Meetings” this morning with great success in terms of participation.  This was an initiative carried out through the Association web-site to reinforce its commitment to improve communication with members.

For this initial, live, digital discussion, Arancha Rodríguez Sainz de los the Terreros, Technical Director of the PRE Stud Book, answered questions formulated by members of ANCCE for a period of two hours. Some thirty questions, all varied in nature, sent by members from several European countries were answered.

The hottest topic versed on the necessary documentation and procedure for horses to be registered with the Stud Book.  There were also questions about doubts or recommendations for the new PRE Stud Book web-site—recently been restructured to maximize its potential—and international consultations, such as the one posed by a member of ANCCE about the legality of PRE Mundial. In her answer, Arancha Rodríguez wanted to clarify that “the only officially recognized PRE Stud Book is the one currently handled by ANCCE, as recognized by MARM (Spanish Ministry of Agriculture) itself.”

Another member asked if “this year there have been new countries from which any service has been requested.” The Technical Director of the LG confirmed that “yes, there are countries that are breeding and buying horses that had never before requested LG services, nor did we know about there being PRE horses in those countries. This is the case of Israel, Morocco, Slovakia and Jordan, where the Jordanian king himself has PRE horses. There are even foals being born in Thailand.”

The discussions, which will take place periodically, seek to be a space for PRE-related dialogue and exchange of experiences. Participants in forthcoming editions will be, among others, the President of ANCCE, the General Director and those responsible for the various work commissions.  The dates established will be announced a few days before, on the Association web-site, on social networks and directly to members.
